D.O. Rueda

The production area of the D.O. Rueda is located within the Community of Castilla y León. It is comprised of 72 municipalities and villages, 53 of which are located in the south of the province of Valladolid, 17 to the west of Segovia and 2 to the north of Ávila. The different grape varieties are distributed throughout the different towns that make up the D.O. Rueda with the highest. Concentration and intensity coming from the municipal areas of La Seca, Rueda and Serrada.

UNSTOPPABLE TURN TOWARDS ECOLOGICAL VITIVINICULTURE

In early 2007, Silvia Gracia Gonzalez joined Bodegas Verdeal as our technical director and  vineyard management. 

With his twelve years of experience, she has used technology to truly optimize the Verdejo variety. Paramount to Silvia and Bodgas Verdeal is that sustainability is practiced throughout the entire wine-making process, both in the vineyards  as well as in the winery.

 Controlling the entire process from growing to harvest, Silvia ensures the excellence of the entire process, from the growing of the grapes, their maceration through to the low temperature fermentation and the contact with the lees afterwards.
